Hubspot ran a survey in 2020 of 3,400 global marketers. One of the questions asked in the study was; “Which tactics have you found most beneficial in improving site performance and ranking?”
Having a “mobile optimized site” was the most popular answer. “Improving page load” was the second-most popular answer. Other common answers included “fixing site errors”, “optimizing internal” and “fixing broken links”. “Installing SSL”, “using image alt”, “creating and optimizing”, and “leveraging canonical” were all pinned as beneficial tactics for improving site performance and ranking as well.
