A 2020 survey targeting 500 online purchasers and 200 industry professionals across brand, shopper marketing, e-commerce, and advertising specialties retrieved insightful data on pre-shop touchpoints for online purchases.
37% of the participants in this survey said that the retailer’s website or app was a touchpoint prior to purchase. 28% said they came into contact with a brand via internet search prior to purchase. The lowest amount of respondents (13%) state a blog or online forum as a pre-shop touchpoint.
