From 2019 to 2020, the average order value (AOV) of each industry in the U.K., according to the following statistics, has changed. In this post, we will go through the growth rate of each industry’s average order value. You can see the 2020 average order vale of each of the industries mentioned below here.
In the Arts & Crafts industry, the average order value of purchases made from 2019 to 2020 grew by 10.05%. In contrast, the AOV of orders in the Baby & Child industry went down by 26.67%. It went up by 15.04% in the Cars & Motorcycling industry and down by 4% in the Electrical & Commercial Equipment e-commerce industry.
The Fashion Clothing & Accessories industry also saw a fall in their AOV; it went down by 2.01%. The AOV of orders in the Food & Drink e-commerce industry went up by 9.48% between 2019 and 2020. The increase was 23.95% in the Health & Wellbeing e-commerce industry. The Home Accessories & Giftware industry saw a drop of 1.73% in their average order value from 2019 to 2020.
The AOV of orders in the Kitchen & Home Appliances went up by 11.65% from 2019 to 2020. The biggest difference in AOV between 2019 and 2020 was seen in Pet Care. The AOV in Pet Care went down by 65.6% in 2020. We see a relatively small increase in the AOV of Sports & Recreation goods, which saw an increase of 1.21% in their AOV.
