With the holiday season just around the corner, we decided to turn our attention to insights relating to e-commerce sales and growth during this time period. In this insight, we look at Cyber Week 2019, specifically. This chart is modeled after Marketing Charts post based on a report by Adobe. Adobe analyzed over 4,500 sites covering November 1st, 2019 until December, 2019.
The chart shows how e-commerce revenues in the U.S. on Thanksgiving day alone were $3.7 billion. That figure jumped to $6.2b on Black Friday. Cyber Monday drew in over double that of Thanksgiving Day, boasting revenues of $7.9b.
These sales figures for Cyber Week 2019 are significantly higher than the previous Cyber Week earnings. Thanksgiving Day saw a 14.5% rise in sales. Black Friday and Cyber Monday saw very similar year-over-year increases at 19.6% and 19.7%, respectively.
