An ad blocker is a protection software used to filter out ads online. They can be set to block loud video ads, ads that follow you around the web, trackers, third-party cookies, and other third-party connections. This insight shows the most popular ad blocking software, based on a U.S. market.
The top two ad blockers according to this research done by Uponit are Adblock Plus (47.5%) and Adblock (26.6%). Ublock (1.9%), Adguard (1.4%), and Ghostery (0.2%) all hold less than 2% of the market. 26.2% of the US-based participants did not know what ad blocking software they were using. 4% use more than one.
